RESISTANCE = EGO = AMATEUR STYLE
POWER = SOUL = PROFESSIST STYLE
- Angels make their home in the Self, while Resistance has its seat in the Ego.
- Resistance aims to kill. Its target is the epicenter of our being: our genius, our soul
- The more important a call or action is to our soul’s evolution, the more Resistance we will feel toward pursuing it.
- the battle must be fought anew every day.
- Resistance is a sort of evil twin specialized in SELF-DRAMATIZATION = feel unloved and unlovable, hate ourselves.

- When the PRO work become like a magnetized rod that attracts iron filings. Ideas come. Insights accrete. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favour.

- The pro senses who has served his time and who hasn’t.
- The Pro show up every day, no matter what. In sickness and in health.
- A PRO DISTANCES HERSELF FROM HER INSTRUMENT (Body, emotions, mind)
- The Pro identifies with her consciousness and her will, not with the matter that her consciousness and will manipulate to serve her art.
- does not identify with this instrument (physical, emotional, and psychological manifestations used in The Work).
- It is simply what God gave, what he has to work with. He assesses it coolly, impersonally, objectively.
- God needed a corporeal being (human form) to bring this kind of energy/ideas into this material plane… This is why artists are modest. They know they’re not doing the work; they’re just taking dictation.
- Madonna (the individual soul-energy) does not identify with “Madonna” (the Performance as artist). Madonna employs “Madonna.”
- The Pro minds may wander, but the bodies remain at the wheel.
- Pro don’t go home till the whistle blows… He master the technique. He conserves his energy. He prepares his mind for the long haul.
- The pro it’s his vocation, his FULL-TIME occupation. He will not tolerate disorder, banish it from his mind. He wants the carpet vacuumed and the threshold swept, so the Muse may enter
- The amateur does not love the game enough.
- Pro is acutely aware of the intangibles that go into inspiration. The sign of the amateur is overglorification of and preoccupation. The Pro shuts up. He doesn’t talk about it. He does his work.
- The professional loves it so much he dedicates his life to it.
- The Pro set in motion a mysterious but infallible sequence of events that would produce inspiration, results
- Pro ACTS IN THE FACE OF FEAR … Amateur escape from Fear stimula/contest
- Amateur believes the serpent’s voice in his head. The Pro knows that Resistance is like a telemarketer; if you so much as say hello, you’re finished. The pro doesn’t even pick up the phone.
- His goal is not victory (success will come by itself when it wants to) but to handle himself, his insides, as steadily as he can.. wants to be in possession of the full arsenal of skills, so leaves room for genius to enter by the back.
- The professional keeps his eye on the doughnut and not on the hole.
- RESISTANCE IS INVISIBLE
- RECRUITS ALLIES: The closer these people are to the awakened, , the more bizarrely they will act and the more emotion they will put behind
- IS FUELED BY FEAR

- Reduce it to a single cell and that cell will continue to attack. This is Resistance’s nature. It’s all it knows.
- I don’t care, I don’t even think about it. All that counts is that, for this day, for this session, I have overcome Resistance.
