Spiritual MVP of the week: PAUL HEDDERMAN

PAUL HEDDERMAN
4/5 stars
_
PRO:
Like Jed, Paul too is decidedly witty, self-deprecating, outspoken, genuine. Certainly - from a social point of view - he is more genuine than Jed since he has not hidden his identity.
I don't know Paul personally, I just listened to his speeches on YouTube and it was certainly a pleasant discovery. He manages to express himself brilliantly: his examples, metaphors, aphorisms are beautiful pearls of wisdom. His way of interpreting and simplifying the messages of ancient Zen masters, Ramana, a Course in miracles, etc. is interesting.
The suggestion not to worry about "what you really are" and to worry exclusively about "what you are not" is brilliant. In some ways it recalls Alfred Korzybski's principle of non-identity applied to spiritual research.
As in the case of Jed, Paul's main advantage is his disenchantment.
_
VERSUS:
I do not know.
Basically I see it as he does.
If we want to find or invent a defect we say that sometimes it can seem repetitive. He likes - rightly - to repeat the essential speeches, in this regard he considers himself a banal postman who always delivers the same messages to the unconscious mind. He communicates this way because he knows that many words are intercepted, misunderstood, forgotten or deliberately distorted by the conditioned mind, which accepts only what is in accordance with its system of thought and therefore impulsively rejects what threatens its certainties. In this sense, the idea of proposing the same messages in many different ways is an interesting approach. Also because basically when you consider what transcends words there can be nothing to say.
Another thing that might annoy some individuals - but I personally approve of it - is not giving too much space to questions. For the same reason as before, it is not convenient to give too much space to the mental blowjobs of the ordinary mind, which is very skilled at digressing from the tracks of awareness.

Who Is Jed McKenna?

The Jed McKenna books appear to have been written by an individual named Peder Sweeney, while the forum was created by an impostor named Kenneth McMordie. From: https://realization.org/p/jed-mckenna/who-is-jed-mckenna.html By Elena Gutierrez Jed McKenna is the author of a series of books about enlightenment. The books are fiction and “Jed McKenna” is a pseudonym. Many people think Jed McKenna’s true identity is a mystery, but this isn’t true. His birth name has been a matter of public record for nearly twenty years. It’s Peder Sweeney, and since that name is very unusual, it’s virtually certain that he is the same Peder Sweeney who: was born on September 26, 1961; went to William Rainey Harper College in Illinois; wrote articles for his college newspaper which are reminiscent of the Jed McKenna books; married Kelly Dawn Johnson; lived in Fairfield, Iowa, which was the center of the Transcendental Medi...

Shiva’s 112 Ways to Attain Enlightenment

by   littleyogi   |   May 1, 2017   |   hinduism ,   non-duality ,   yoga   |   0 comments Vijñāna Bhairava Tantra  (sometimes spelt  Vigyan Bhairav Tantra ) is a 5000 year old Sanskrit text of the Shaivism. The text is a chapter from the  Rudrayamala Tantra , a Bhairava Agama. Cast as a discourse between the god Shiva and his consort Devi or Shakti. Devi, asks Shiva to reveal the essence of the way to realisation of the highest reality. In his answer Shiva describes 112 ways to enter into the universal and transcendental state of consciousness. These include several variants of breath awareness, concentration on various centres in the body, non-dual awareness, chanting, imagination and visualisation and contemplation through each of the senses. Devi ( Ma Parvati , Lord Shiva’s consort) asks: O Shiva, what is your reality? What is the wonder-filled universe? What constitutes seed? Who centres the universal...
